Myrtle Beach Boardwalk St. Patrick’s Day Festival | March 14th – 15th
If you are looking for THE official St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Myrtle Beach look no farther than the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk! The downtown boardwalk area serves as the hub for all things green throughout the weekend of March 14th – 15th. Festival participants can look forward to live entertainment on several stages, the area’s largest Irish beer garden, and plenty of food vendors to help you refuel. There will also be a dedicated kids’ area with carnival rides, inflatables, games, face painting, camel rides, and much more. Admission to this event is free and the fun runs from 10am – 11pm each day. Just head to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk to see what all the buzz is about!
North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade | March 14th
Kick off your Irish celebration bright and early by attending the 27th Annual North Myrtle Beach Parade & Festival. This family-friendly event begins promptly at 9am with the parade down Main Street. The official festival will begin immediately following the parade at 11am and will feature two live entertainment stages, children’s activities including games, rides, and inflatables, and more than 150 local food and retail vendors.
Myrtle Beach Beerfest | May 9th
Craft beer aficionados and appreciators alike are sure to enjoy the tasty fermented offerings at the 7th Annual Myrtle Beach Beer Fest. This popular festival is taking place at the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Stadium this year on Saturday, May 9th . Interested guests can select from two time slots – 2pm–5pm or 6pm-9pm and prices are $35 in advance or $45 at the door. The event will include live entertainment, samples of more than 10 beers from around the globe, and several food vendors to help you refuel.
Myrtle Beach Easter Egg Hunt | April 4th
If you will be in town over Easter be sure to make plans to attend the area’s biggest and best Easter celebrations! The fun takes place at McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach and kicks off at 10am sharp on Saturday, April 4th. There will be a large Easter Egg hunt for children followed be festive Easter activities through noon including photos with Mrs. Bloom Bunny, face painting, and games. The North Strand Optimist Club will provide snacks and refreshments.
Myrtle Beach Pelican’s Baseball Kickoff | April 9th - 15th
Stock up on peanuts and cracker jacks – baseball season is just around the corner! The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, a minor league affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, will kick-off the season with a week-long home opener against the Salem Wildcats. Myrtle Beach Pelicans games are always fun for the whole family as the team puts on entertainment between innings and several other fun promotions throughout the week like “$2sDay Brewsday” (which offers $2 craft beer from 6-8), “Weiner Wednesdays” (which offers $1 hotdogs all night long), and weekly fireworks shows. Art in the Park | April 11th – 12th & 18th – 19th
Looking for a chance to get out and enjoy the beautiful spring beach weather? If so, head over to Chapin Park April 11th – 12th or Valor Park April 18th – 19th to visit the Art in the Park Event. Exhibitors from across the nation flock to these events each spring and fall to showcase their work and all genres will be represented. Browse everything from paintings, glasswork, and metal work to handmade jewelry, sculptures, and more. The event will also offer food vendors and entertainment throughout the day.
Burrofest Cinco de Mayo Party | May 2nd
Put on your party hat and stop by Burro Loco for the area’s biggest Cinco de Mayo celebration! Burro Loco is kicking things off at 9am with their annual ‘Stache Dash 5K trail run. The fun will continue that afternoon and into the evening with live entertainment, games, party favors, and great food and drink specials all day long. Little River Blue Crab Festival | May 16th – 17th
The “Word Famous” Little River Blue Crab Festival draws crowds of over 50,000 each year, making it one of the biggest festivals in the south east. Guests flock from far and wide each year to take part in food, fellowship, friends, and plenty of crab, of course! This weekend-long event will offer live entertainment from performers like the Carolina Breakers and Gary Lowder (to name a few), arts and crafts, children’s activities, games, and tons of local food and business vendors. Boathouse Summer Concert Series | Ongoing
Spring marks the beginning of the Boathouse Summer Concert Series, an ongoing event that is very popular among lovers of live music. The Boathouse is located waterfront along the scenic Intracoastal Waterway and is accessible via land or water. Concerts take place on the outdoor waterfront stage (weather permitting) and there is plenty of room to view either on the grass or by boat. Scheduled artists so far include The Movement, Roscoe Dash, and Archnemesis. Guests at Coral Beach Resort won’t find themselves short on wet n’ wild fun and opportunities to soak up the sun; quite the opposite, actually! The pool amenities at Coral Beach are extensive and include several indoor and outdoor pools and whirlpools, a dedicated kiddie pool, oceanfront lazy river, and an outdoor waterpark that is popular among guests of all ages. There is plenty of space for everyone to keep cool in the pool!

Splash Oceanfront Bar & Grill is definitely a popular spot for our warm weather guests. Kick back and refuel after a busy day of beach bumming or stop by for a few drinks before enjoying a lively night out on the town; no matter what time of day it is, Splash offers plenty to keep you busy. Myrtle Beach Updates - What’s New For 2015?
2014 has come and gone and with a new year comes several new and exciting changes to Myrtle Beach. Curious about what 2015 has in store for Myrtle Beach?

North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex – The new North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex opened last summer and has already brought more sports tourism to the area. Aside from the new pristine sports fields, the complex also offers a haven for families with tons of green space for playing, two new playgrounds, picnic areas and pavilions, a dog park, and an indoor event space that has already hosted several local events.
“Back gate” Overpass Completion – Anyone who has been to Myrtle Beach over the past three years is sure to be familiar with the large constriction project that has taken place towards the south end of Highway 17 Bypass. Well, the much anticipated project is finally complete! This massive project has made travel between the north and south end of Myrtle Beach much easier and has created a more organized route to Farrow Parkway and Market Common. The next big project will be in Surfside Beach at the Glens Bay Road intersection and will take another three years to complete so keep that in mind if you are traveling south from the beach.
Myrtle Beach Airport Adds New Flights – The Myrtle Beach airport recently announced several new destinations and an expanded flight schedule for the 2015 season. New flight destinations include Cleveland, Lexington, Syracuse, Cincinnati, and Columbus – to name a few. The flight schedule will begin to pick up this spring and run throughout the end of the summer.

Several new attractions will be celebrating their first summer at the beach this year. New family attractions include:
Hollywood Wax Museum – This new attraction is hard to miss! Located right across from the popular Broadway at the Beach complex, the Hollywood Wax Museum offers three unique attractions all under one roof. Attractions include the Hollywood Wax Museum, Hannah’s House of Mirrors, and Breakout! A Zombie Apocalypse Experience. Tickets may be purchased as a bundle or separate. Broadway Grand Prix – This newly revamped go-kart facility, formerly known as the NASCAR SpeedPark, offers a lot more than a few tracks. While the over 8 unique go-kart tracks offer fun for guests of all ages, this action packed attraction also offers an arcade, on-site carnival rides, thrill rides, a designated kids’ area, a rock climbing wall, and much more! Dinosaurs: The Exhibition – As the name suggests, this new attraction is all about our large pre-historic friends and will soon call Broadway at the Beach home. Dinosaurs: The Exhibition will feature 25 life-sized animatronics dinosaurs all under one roof at between the Ripley’s Aquarium and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. This new attraction will open to the public in March.
