Hot Summer Nights = Free Family Fun
From shows, shopping, food and fun, there are hundreds of things to see and do during your stay in Myrtle Beach. While all the high-profile shows and attractions are sure to provide everyone with hours of exceptional entertainment, they don’t allow you to get out and see what beach life is really all about. Luckily, there is at least one place where locals and visitors alike can go to submerge themselves in the fun, free and laid back lifestyle of the beach: The Hot Summer Nights concert series on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.
From now until September 21st, Pyler Park, located at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade, will be home to the Hot Summer Nights concert series. Every night during the week, the Oceanfront Merchants Association sponsors family-friendly, free events on the Boardwalk that are guaranteed to fun for everyone.
Monday nights are a blast for the kids with the Kidz Carnival going on from 7pm-10pm. Inflatables, face painting, and roaming boardwalk entertainers are just the tip of the iceberg and all completely free! Or, grab some chairs and blankets and come out to Pyler Park on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday night from 8pm-11pm and catch great live musical performances by some of the area’s top musicians like The Josh Brannon Band, Jimmy Mowery and The Midnight City band. With different musician each night, why not stop by every night during your stay to relax with some music under the stars?
The fun continues with Boardwalk Elvis on Fridays and Sundays. Starting at 8pm, Boardwalk guests will get a chance to see the King himself preform live up and down the boardwalk; singing, dancing and taking pictures with passersby. And as if all of these amazing events weren’t enough, every Wednesday night at 10pm the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade will put on one of the areas biggest and best firework displays. Watch from the beach or from high above in the SkyWheel as these colorful bursts of light explode in the sky over the Atlantic.
