Experience America’s favorite past time, right here in Myrtle Beach with Pelicans baseball. Now affiliated with the Texas Rangers, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans are celebrating their fifteen year anniversary season which kicks off on April 4th.
Throughout the fifteen year history in Myrtle Beach, the Pelicans have had some major successes and the players have a history of moving into the big league. Three former Pelicans – including two from last year's squad – entered Texas Rangers training camp as non-roster invitees for 2013. Eleven other alumni arrive on the Rangers 40-man roster today.
There is something for everyone with promotional days being offered regularly at the Pelicans Ballpark, and the anniversary season is sure to bring the action. Whether it is free hotdogs for the kids, team giveaways, discounted food and drinks, the ability to head down onto the field with the family, or the ever popular “Thirsty Thursday” featuring $1 beers – you’re sure to leave happy.
The Pelicans also have 18 fireworks nights scheduled throughout the summer with plenty of giveaway items and the club's famous promotional theme nights packing the anniversary year.
