Creek Ratz, a Murrells Inlet Tradition!

Experience waterfront dining at its finest at Creek Ratz! Situated oceanfront along the bustling Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, Creek Ratz offers fresh seafood and a casual, “come as you are” atmosphere that makes it a favorite among visitors and locals alike! And, the spacious outdoor patio that hosts live entertainment throughout the week keeps guests flocking back time and time again.

The first thing one will notice about Creek Ratz is the spacious outdoor areas. Unlike other MarshWalk restaurants, Creek Ratz is situated a bit farther back from the boardwalk, allowing space for an expansive patio area, a covered pavilion for bands, a covered outdoor bar area, and green space for outdoor games. Guests can still enjoy the spectacular waterfront views, they just get all of these extra perks that can’t be found at any other MarshWalk restaurant. Of course, Creek Ratz also offers a spacious indoor seating area for a rare rainy beach day or those days when you really need to beat the heat.

The menu at Creek Ratz is packed with tasty treats with a southern “lowcountry” flare that are sure to please even the pickiest palette. Get started with one of the tempting appetizers like the homemade pimento cheese dip, fried dill pickles, crab stuffed mushrooms, or their famous wings, available with a wide selection of dry or wet rubs.

For the main event, try out one of Creek Ratz fried seafood baskets. Murrells Inlet is known as the seafood capital of the state so you can be sure that all the nautical selections here are fresh from the creek! Selections include fried shrimp, crab cakes, oysters, and flounder – to name a few. If you want to try something a little different, opt for one of Creek Ratz sandwiches which range from traditional options like the shrimp poboy and the chicken salad melt to more creative concoctions like the yellow fin tuna philly and the creek rat reuben, a tradition reuben made with spicy shrimp in place of pastrami. Creek Ratz also offers a wide array of juicy grilled burgers and hot, bubbling pizzas if you prefer something not from the sea.

In town during a game day? Creek Ratz is your MarshWalk college and NFL game headquarters during the fall. They offer several flat screens in their bar areas and even bring out large projection screens for large South Carolina or Clemson games. Guests who stop by on a game day can enjoy the following game day specials: $0.25 wings, $5.99 sliders (burger, chicken salad, fried chicken, or turkey), $2.00 slice pizza or $7.99 large one topping pizza, $3.00 vodka, $12.00 bud light buckets. Now how is that for a game day deal? And don’t forget to stick around for live entertainment after the game!

It’s not hard to see why Creek Ratz is a Murrells Inlet tradition. This casual waterfront eatery offers a friendly, unintimidating atmosphere, fantastic, affordable food, and great live entertainment. Be sure to give this south end favorite a visit during your next Myrtle Beach adventure! Call (843) 357-2891 for more information.
