Does Coral Beach Resort allow pets?
Sorry, no pets are allowed in the guest rooms or on the premises of the resort. The only exception is for service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), who are trained to provide assistance to guests with disabilities.
Does Coral Beach Resort offer free Wi-Fi?
Yes, wireless internet is accessible in all guest rooms and common areas and is a complimentary resort amenity for our guests.
Is it true Coral Beach has a bowling alley in the hotel?
Yes! Coral Beach has the unique distinction of being one of a select few resort hotels in Myrtle Beach with an on-site regulation size 8-lane AMF bowling alley. The bowling alley is located on the Fourth Floor in our popular Entertainment Zone which features a video arcade game room, foosball, air hockey and pool tables. In addition, there’s our Beverage Zone with a variety of adult beverages, soft drinks and more, and the Chill & Grill featuring delicious offerings from our grill menu along with cold beverages and ice cream.
What is your smoking policy?
Coral Beach is committed to providing its guests and associates with a smoke-free environment, and is proud to have become a smoke-free facility effective January 1, 2014. The policy represents and mirrors the industry's largest hotel chains and the initiative includes guest rooms and balconies, public and commercial spaces and associate work areas. The majority of guest requests favor a non-smoking hotel environment. The only way to provide this experience is to not allow smoking within the building. We do provide designated smoking areas outside the building to accommodate the needs of guests who smoke. In some cases, the hotel may be attached to a bar or restaurant which permits smoking. All associates have been trained to respond to potential violations of the policy. For example, housekeepers are trained to observe signs of smoking in the hotel. Guests are reminded at the time of booking and upon arrival at the hotel that smoking is not permitted inside the building. Pre-arrival email notifications also include a reference to the policy. There is a significant room recovery fee for guests who do not comply in order to cover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms top a smoke-free condition.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is 3:30 pm, check-out is 11:00 am.
Can I request an earlier check-in time?
In the event your accommodations are available prior to 3:30 pm, we are happy to provide an early check-in. Guests arriving early may pre-check-in after 8:00 am.
Can I request a later check-out time?
Late check-out requests can be made on the day of arrival and, when possible and depending upon availability we will make every effort to coordinate a later check-out time with the Housekeeping Department.
Parking at some oceanfront hotels is inconvenient, is your parking situation different?
Yes! The Coral Beach offers three on-site parking lots connected to the hotel building. Our main parking lot is directly on Ocean Boulevard, conveniently located at the hotel entrance, allowing guests easy access to the hotel lobby without crossing any of our busy streets. In addition, we also have a completely covered upper and lower street level parking garage that is also connected directly to the Ground Floor of the hotel building. Guests consistently find the convenient parking at the Coral Beach to be one of their favorite — and most often used — amenities!
Are there guest laundry facilities at Coral Beach?
Yes, the coin-operated guest laundries are located on the Fourth and Eighth Floors.
Do you feature an indoor heated pool?
Yes, our indoor heated swimming pool is part of our indoor pool complex located on the Ground Floor. The complex is comprised of a 30,000 gallon heated pool, several whirlpools, men’s and women’s saunas and children’s activity area.
How many swimming pools and water amenities do you have at Coral Beach?
Lots! Coral Beach is the “water headquarters” of comparable Myrtle Beach resort hotels. With ten pools including whirlpools, spas, kiddie pools, a huge oceanfront main pool, children’s water park, oceanfront lazy river, indoor heated pool and more, our guests don’t have to go far to find a place to take a dip or relax in a soothing whirlpool.
How close is Coral Beach to area shopping, dining, amusement and attractions?
Our convenient Ocean Boulevard location puts our guests literally just minutes away from a host of fun things to see and do in Myrtle Beach. Favorite shopping destinations including the Market Common (approx. 3 mi.), Coastal Grand Mall (approx. 4 mi.) and Tanger Factory Outlet on Hwy, 501 (approx. 7 mi.) are easily accessible and just a short drive away. A variety of dining options are available in or near the Market Common and Coastal Grand Mall and within a 5-mile radius. In addition, the restaurants located in the popular Broadway at the Beach dining, shopping and entertainment complex are less than 5 miles away, and some of the best seafood in the Carolinas can be found in the Murrells Inlet area, just ten minutes or so south of Coral Beach.
The Family Kingdom Amusement Park featuring an exciting roller coaster is less than a mile from the hotel. Many guests find it a leisurely walk along Ocean Boulevard, just eight blocks from Coral Beach. The Pavilion Nostalgia Park, Ripley’s Aquarium and the Palace Theater are popular entertainment attractions located at Broadway at the Beach. Are there places to eat inside the Coral Beach?
Yes, Coral Beach features several bars and eateries for our guests to enjoy. Our Atlantis Restaurant located on the Ground Floor offers a great breakfast buffet daily, complete with a “make your own” waffle station. The Coral Bean Cafe’ is our Lobby Level coffee shop, proudly serving Starbucks products including cappuccino, espresso, Frappuccino and a variety of coffees, along with bagels, assorted muffins and other items. The poolside Splash Oceanfront Bar & Grill features a nice variety of sandwiches and beverages that our guest can enjoy outside while listening to daily entertainment at the adjacent Splash oceanfront stage (in-season.) The Chill & Grill located inside the Entertainment Zone on the Fourth Floor is also a popular place for families to relax with a hamburger, hotdog, ice cream and more. And lastly, our brand new Oceans on 6 Bar & Lounge located on the Sixth Floor offers a variety of adult beverages and a select grill menu in a unique, “island-themed” environment, perfect for winding down after a full day on the beach or by the pool.
Are discounted attraction or amusement tickets available at Coral Beach?
The hotel concierge located in the lobby has a limited number of promotional offers available and can assist you with any questions you may have regarding attractions and amusements, in addition to making recommendations to some of the area’s great entertainment venues.
Are fireworks allowed at Coral Beach or on the beach itself?
By law fireworks are prohibited in the City of Myrtle Beach (including the beach) and on the hotel grounds. However, in season and especially during holidays such as Independence Day, Memorial Day, New Year’s Day there are a number of professionally produced fireworks shows, many of which take place within less than 5 miles of the resort. Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, and the City of Myrtle Beach have traditionally presented fireworks displays.
Are rollaway beds available?
Rollaways are available only on a first-come first-served basis for an additional $10 daily fee, plus tax.
Are cribs available?
We offer “Pack ’n' Play” playards based on availability. They are available only on a first-come, first-served bases and cannot be reserved. There is no charge for the use of the “Pack ’n’ Play.”
What is a “Murphy bed?”
A “Murphy bed” is essentially a bed that folds down to floor level from a recessed wall space in your hotel room. Commonly referred to as “wall-beds,” Murphy beds are popular amenities in many hotels due to their space-saving design and their appeal to our younger guests.
Do any of the rooms at Coral Beach have a pull-out sofa bed?
No, our rooms and suites are designed to accommodate a specified number of children and adults and we utilize the Murphy bed for added sleeping space. In addition, our philosophy is that beds are for sleeping on and sofas are for sitting on.
Can I get a room with a king bed?
Yes, king beds are available in a number of our units. Simply go online or call one of our trained reservationist and they will be happy to check the availability.
Can I request a specific room?
While every effort is made by our staff to accommodate requests for specific room locations, this is not always possible and specific room assignments are not guaranteed.
What is a “Splash Pass?” I read where your resort amenities are only accessible with the use of a “Splash Pass.”
Coral Beach Resort & Suites is a condo-hotel with ONE exclusive on-site rental management company, Coral Beach Resort Management, LLC, which manages 97% of all available units at the resort. Ownership & access to the property amenities including the entertainment center, bowling alley, game room, mini-mart, fitness room, conference areas, bars & restaurants are available only to guests renting units through the exclusive on-site rental management company. These areas are strictly controlled with the “Splash Pass” electronic key card issued at check-in to guests who have reserved their units through Coral Beach Resort Management only. Access and/or purchases are not possible and not available to others. Please beware of other rental companies or owners (VRBO) failing to properly disclose this vitally important information.
Does Coral Beach offer discounts of any kind?
Yes, we feel we offer one of the premier resort hotel discount offers in the industry. Guests who make their reservations online or via telephone 90 or more days in advance can save up to 35% off regular room rates. Reservations made 60-89 days in advance can save up to 30%. Reservations made 30-59 days in advance can save up to 25% and reservations made 0-29 days in advance can still save up to 20%. In addition, we offer discounts to AAA and AARP members at the time the reservation is made. And, active duty military personnel may receive a $10.00 per night Resort Credit from April through September and a $5.00 per night Resort Credit from October through March. The Resort Credit is valid for up to a 7-night stay. Active duty military ID must be presented at check-in. What is a “Resort Credit?”
From time to time, Coral Beach Resort offers its guests “Resort Credits” valued at a specific dollar amount (i. e. $5, $10 or more) that can be used for the purchase of food, beverages, grocery items, gifts or services in any of our on-site food, beverage or entertainment outlets. (Coral Bean Cafe’, Atlantis Restaurant, the Resort Shoppe, Oceans on 6 Bar & Lounge, Splash Oceanfront Beach Bar & Grill, the Entertainment Zone featuring the Pin Zone, the Beverage Zone and the Chill & Grill. Resort Credits are not transferable from guest to guest, they cannot be used for cash and may not be used as payment to reduce or pay a hotel folio balance.
When I make my reservation, do you require a deposit?
Yes, your first night stay is required when you make your reservation from. The balance is due upon arrival. Group deposit policies may vary. It’s best to check with your group sales representative if you are coming with a group.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations received 14 days or less from the scheduled day or arrival will result in forfeiture of deposit. Cancellations received 15 days or more from the scheduled arrival date will result in refund of deposit, less $20 cancellation fee. Changes to the duration of a reservation must be made at least 5 days prior to arrival or guest will be charged for entire reservation length. No refunds for early departures.
What if there is a hurricane?
Because hurricane forecasting can be difficult, each storm is handled individually. If the local, state or federal government should issue a mandatory evacuation, the resort will issue full refund of deposit or allow the guest to transfer their money to a future date.
Do you rent to students?
Coral Beach is a family resort catering to families and couples. Room reservations are accepted from guests 21 years of age or older. Our hotel policy requires any guest under the age of 21 to be accompanied by their parent(s) staying in the room with them.
