The month of February is quickly passing us by and coming soon is…Spring Break! With March and April high temperatures of around 80 and an average of only 5 rain days both months, we hope Myrtle Beach is in the running to be your Spring Break 2019 destination of choice! From beautiful beaches with lots of water activities to delicious dining and upbeat nightlife, Myrtle Beach has it all. What’s even better? The Coral Beach Resort is here with the inside scoop on how to make your stay more enjoyable by putting together “The Perfect Spring Break” for you to enjoy!
Morning: Paddle Boarding
To start the day off, why not get in the water? After all, is it really spring without some time in the sun and sea? While the months of March and April can still be a little cool in the mornings, and the ocean is not quite swimming temps, we recommend going on a paddleboard tour with Carolina Waterman. This guided paddleboarding adventure takes you on a 2-hour instructional tour of the Waccamaw River. See nature up close and enjoy the relaxing water views! Reservations are required so be sure to call: 843-222-3132. You can also check out one of the many boat tours offered in Myrtle Beach!
Afternoon: Shopping at The Market Common
After a little exercise on the water, why not treat yourself to some shopping? The Market Common is the best spot in town with both great shopping and great lunch spots as well! This outdoor shopping center has stores like Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, Orvis, and so many more. They are also home to local boutiques that carry all kinds of unique brands. Our favorite lunch spot? Tupelo Honey! Their motto is “Shop. Eat. Play. Live.” and we couldn’t agree more. Check out The Market Common website for more information and their full list of stores.
Dinner: The Wicked Tuna
After all that shopping, we know you’ll be hungry! The Wicked Tuna is one of our favorite local restaurants and an option that is surely not going to disappoint! The Wicked Tuna is located on the Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet, just 20 minutes south of The Coral Beach Resort. Take in beautiful waterfront views and watch the sunset all while enjoying award-winning local cuisine. The Wicked Tuna is known for their “hook to plate” food – meaning each week they catch the seafood locally by their own boats. From fresh sushi and fish to prime rib, everyone is sure to find something that will give them an amazing culinary experience. We recommend making reservations since this dining spot is so popular. Call 843-651-9987.
Late Night: Drinks & Dancing at Bubba’s Love Shak
Located also on the Marshwalk just a short walk from The Wicked Tuna, Bubba’s Love Shak is a great environment for some late night fun! Enjoy a tropical atmosphere with lots of drink choices along with live music for entertainment.
We know there are many places for you to choose to stay along our beautiful Myrtle Beach coast, but Coral Beach would love to be your hotel choice! The Coral Beach Resort is reopening its door on March 4th after undergoing repairs and renovations due to the damage done by Hurricane Florence. Come be some of the first to check out our new and improved resort and all the amenities we have to offer! Take a dip in our expansive oceanfront pool, have some friendly competition in our 8 AMF lane bowling alley, or grab a drink and sing karaoke at our oceanfront bar and grill! We hope to see you soon.
