A view of new attractions in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is gearing up for the summer and this year new and exciting things await its visitors. All over the Grand Strand new attractions and restaurants have been popping up and we have the scoop on what’s in-store for Myrtle Beach Vacationers.

Top Golf

Long awaited, Top Golf in Myrtle Beach is finally open and has yet to disappoint. Rent a bay with friends and family and take turns hitting a micro-chipped ball at the giant targets on Top Golf’s green. There are a variety of games to choose from like Top Scramble, TopChip, TopGolf and more! What could make Top Golf anymore fun? How about delicious food & hand-crafted drinks? Try the Jumbo Pretzel Board, similar to a charcuterie board, with loads of meats, cheeses, extras! Pricing is based on hourly bay rental: $25/hour from open until noon, $35/hour from noon until 5 PM, and $45/hour from 5 PM until close ($47/hour on Fridays & Saturdays). Visit their site for more information or call (843) 945-3318 for reservations.

Simpsons 4D

Get up-close-and-personal with some of the residents of Springfield! Springfield’s Aztec Theater opens this summer at Broadway at the Beach for an experience you won’t forget. Meet American’s favorite cartoon family (Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, and Maggie) in the all-new The Simpsons in 4D! You can even grab a Buzz Cola or a Squishee from the Kwik-E-Mart next door.

Tethered Balloon Ride

Now you and your friends or family can ride sky-high over Myrtle Beach in a tethered helium balloon! Located near the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Sky Rider Park will be offering tethered balloon rides for up to 15 passengers, children 4 and under are even permitted to ride. More information coming soon.

The Sneaky Beagle

Bring your pup and dine at the dog-friendly restaurant, The Sneaky Beagle. Located on Carolina Forest Boulevard you and your furry friend can enjoy lunch or dinner outside. The restaurant provides clips to hook your dogs too while you enjoy a cold beer, taco, or sandwich at one of the many picnic tables. They even have menus for your pooch provided by Crabby Dog Eats! Order your pooch a pupcake, chicken jerky, and other fun options!

Tipsy Scoop

Sorry kids, but this fun new shop is for adults only! Opening soon at Broadway at the Beach is Tipsy Scoop Ice Cream Barlour (inside ItSugar). Tipsy Scoop features ice cream made with alcohol. Try flavors like Spiked Hazelnut Coffee, Strawberry White Sangria Sorbet, or Dark Chocolate Whiskey Salted Caramel.

Friends Cheers at a Broadway At the Beach Restaurant

Let’s face it, one of the best parts of vacation is the food, and Myrtle Beach has no shortage when it comes to good eats! Located just a few miles north from The Coral Beach Resort, one of our favorite places with tons of restaurants is Broadway at the Beach. Whether you’re in the mood for seafood or burgers, milkshakes or sushi, Broadway at the Beach restaurants have a great selection (there are over 20 different restaurants) so, you will have no problem finding a place to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters! Aside from the awesome restaurants, Broadway at the Beach also has shopping, attractions, and entertainment so you will have lots to do before or after you eat, you can even make a day of it! One thing we can guarantee is that you will never go hungry while spending time at Broadway at the Beach. We’ve made a list of the best restaurants at Broadway at the Beach, to make your decision on where to eat less overwhelming.

Joe’s Crab Shack

Joe’s Crab Shack has been around since 1991, so they know a thing or two about delivering great seafood. From crab buckets to steam pots, you’ll love the awesome food and atmosphere. Our favorite menu item? The East Coast Platter. So strap on your bib and order away. Let’s be honest, you can’t visit the coast and not indulge in seafood at least once! Joe’s Crab Shack is open Monday – Saturday from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and on Sundays from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. Make reservations by calling 843-626-4490 or visit their website for more information.

Johnny Rockets

Feel like you’ve been transported back to the 50s at Johnny Rockets. Grab a juicy burger and sip on a handspun milkshake while listening to 50s classics like Elvis, The Beach Boys, and The Temptations! Johnny Rockets has put a modern spin on the classic diner and features delicious food in an upbeat and friendly environment. Did we mention they have tabletop jukeboxes? This spot is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with the family, open daily at 11 PM.

Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville

If you are looking for an upbeat environment that’s just as fun for you as it is for your kids, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville is your place! This restaurant contains a “boat-load” of character and the island-inspired food never disappoints. We highly recommend the Volcano Nachos and the famous Cheeseburger in Paradise. No matter what you choose, it’ll all pair great with one of their 10 margaritas on the menu. Enjoy your meal in paradise…but watch out for the hurricane! Call 843-448-5455 for reservations and more information.

King Kong Sushi

For our sushi lovers out there, King Kong Sushi is a must stop for delicious and fresh Asian cuisine! Their menu features exciting sushi roll options such as their 007 Roll and Russian Roulette Roll. For those that aren’t sushi fans, they also serve traditional Japanese hibachi style dishes. Enjoy your meal out on their patio that overlooks the beautiful Lake Broadway or at their sushi bar that just so happens to also be a full-service beverage bar including unique Saki selections. King Kong Sushi is open Monday – Sunday from 11:30 am until 10:30 pm. Enjoy!

Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen

Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen is a family style dining experience. From fried chicken to collards, pot roast to mac and cheese, the southern cuisine reminds you of grandma’s cooking while views of Lake Broadway are the perfect dining addition. The portions are “all you can eat” family style so when you finish a plate of one item, they’ll bring you out another (and another, and another)! Don’t forget to stop at the gift store on your way out to pick up cookware, books, recipe mixes and more. When you eat at Paula Deen’s, you better come hungry! Wahlburgers is a delicious burger joint that is new to Broadway at the Beach – but certainly does not disappoint! Known for their Chef Inspired recipes that feature both light and hearty options, Wahlburgers is committed to serving you the freshest meals all while your family and friends make lasting memories! Take a bite out of the Fiesta Burger loaded with fresh jalapeno and salsa or enjoy a more traditional option like The Double Decker (but make sure to ask for extra Wahl sauce). Gluten-free options and a phenomenal kids menu are available too! Don’t forget to save room for dessert and treat yourself to one of their house-made Frappes!
