Jul19

Myrtle Beach is home to beautiful beaches, award-winning golf, delicious dining, and of course, endless fun! But let’s face it, our summers get hot. What better way to cool down than enjoying a day on the water exploring all of the watersports that the Grand Strand has to offer? We’ve put together a list of the best watersport options convenient to The Coral Beach Resort.

Parasailing in Myrtle Beach

Experience beautiful scenery, view sea creatures below, and have a definite adrenaline rush as you soar 300 feet above the Atlantic Ocean! Downwind Sails Watersports has 2 locations along the Myrtle Beach boulevard but their 3rd Avenue south location is most convenient to us. Begin your parasailing adventure by riding deep into the ocean on a banana boat with your family. Once you get to the boat, board it and prepare for fun as you get strapped into the parasail! The duration of the parasail ride is approximately 8-10 minutes and the height requirement is at least 42 inches. There are single, double, and triple riding flights available. Their current price per flyer is $64 and you can book yours by visiting the Downwind Sails website or giving them a call at (843)236-7245. If parasailing has ever been on your bucket list, you can’t miss this awesome experience in Myrtle Beach!

Salt Marsh Kayaking Tour in Murrells Inlet

While watersports in the ocean are what most people think of when they hear “Myrtle Beach watersports”, the Grand Strand is also home to beautiful rivers and marshes that feature watersport activities as well! Visit Black River Outdoors located in Murrells Inlet and paddle through the Murrells Inlet Salt Marsh while experiencing the wonders of the amazing ecosystem and a variety of wildlife. You may see turtles, mink, dolphin, birds, oysters, and crabs. They have both a 2-hour and 4-hour tour option with the 2-hour being the most popular and starting at just $40. For more information or to book your Black River Outdoor Kayak tour visit their website or call at (843) 546-4840.

Jet Ski Rentals in Myrtle Beach

Imagine yourself speeding over the glassy and beautiful backwaters of South Carolina, winding through the moss-covered oaks and going to places you can’t access any other way! At Shawn’s Backwater Adventure, their Jet Ski rentals will let you do just that! They have 4 different Jet Ski tour options ranging from jet ski lessons for beginners to adrenaline tours for more advanced skiers. For more information and to book your Jet Ski rental, visit their website or contact them at (843)353-7020. With a jet ski rental, you’ll see nature untouched as you zip through some of the most scenic areas in the Grand Strand.

Flyboard or Wakeboard in Myrtle Beach

If you’re looking for a fun way to make a splash and cool down, a flyboard or wakeboard rental is an adventure for you! Visit Island Adventure Watersports located just off Hwy 17 in Myrtle Beach for their Fly and Wakeboarding rental experience. Their US Coast Guard Captained Staff will take you on a memorable trip on the scenic Waccamaw River. Up to 6 guests will ride on a brand new 21’ Super Air Nautique Professional Wakeboarding Boat, where you’ll be challenged in a fun and exciting ride. Wakeboards are very similar to a surfboard being pulled behind a boat, and you’ll be able to attempt various acrobatic maneuvers including jumps, dips, turns, and dives. For flyboarding, you’ll be water jet-propelled and fly in the air like a bird and then dive in the water like a dolphin. You’ll use power from jet skis, and the board will take you high up in the sky for the ride of your life. This new extreme water sport allows you to fly over the water, under the water, or fly freestyle as you learn to control your experience. Visit Island Adventure Watersport’s website for even more information and to book your watersport experience today!
