Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid license but additional riders are only $20. The best news is that kids 12 and under ride free! Island Adventure Watersports offers two jet ski experiences: a self-guided 1-hour rental and a 2-hour backcountry jet ski tour. Whichever you choose, we can promise it won’t disappoint! Both rides occur on the Intercoastal Waterway so you’ll have a calmer ride that is great for younger kids.
Jet ski rentals start at $95/hour with no additional charge for a second rider. Backcountry jet ski tours are 2-hours in length, cost $200 and a second rider is free. Myrtle Beach Watersports has several jet ski rental and tour options, but the most unique are their dolphin-watch jet ski tours. From their North Myrtle Beach location, riders can choose either a one-hour or two-hour dolphin excursion. Riders will leave from the NMB location at Harbourgate Marina on the Intracoastal Waterway, travel north to the Little River, which will lead you into the Atlantic Ocean.
Dolphin-watch jet ski tours start at $249 with a $10 charge for a second rider. Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license. Dolphin sightings can’t be guaranteed, but the guides try to make time for a stop at one of the barrier islands if time permits. Downwind Sails Watersports has been providing watersport rentals and activities to the Grand Strand since 1978. Their jet ski rentals are only available at the 29th Avenue S location, but it’s only a minute drive from our Myrtle Beach resort. You and your family will enjoy a truly unique ocean excursion.
Downwind Sails prides themselves on hiring trained professionals who are CPR and US Coast Guard certified, as safety is their top priority. Drivers must be 16 years old with a valid driver’s license, and riders must be at least 42 inches tall. Reservations are not required and walk-ups are always welcome. Tours start at $99/half hour. Begin your parasailing fun by riding out into the ocean on a banana boat shuttle with your family. Once you get to the boat, you’ll board and prepare for an adventure as you’re strapped into the parasail! The duration of the parasail ride is approximately 8-10 minutes and the height requirement for riders is at least 42 inches. There are single, double, and triple riding flights available.

While watersports in the ocean are what most people think of when they hear “Myrtle Beach watersports,” the Grand Strand is also home to beautiful rivers and marshes that feature water activities, as well! Black River Outdoors offers several guided kayaking tours through the Murrells Inlet Salt Marsh and along the Waccamaw River.
No matter which kayaking tour you choose, you’ll experience the wonders of the amazing local ecosystems and encounter a variety of wildlife. In the marshes, expect to see turtles, dolphins, crabs and oysters. Along the river, you might catch a glimpse of an alligator, non-venomous snake, osprey and an array of fish.
