A new and exciting way to cruise the waterway is on a CraigCat™ aquatic armchair with Salt Shakers Boat Tours. You’ll have a 1-hour guided adventure in a 2-person boat, each tour accommodates up to 8 people, great for families! Rides are $108.50 per person and must be reserved in advance.

Couple toasting, one of the romantic things to do in Myrtle Beach
Jan18

The holidays have officially come and gone and the warmer months are in sight! One of our favorite holidays, Valentine’s Day, is just around the corner. With that brings all the heart-shaped chocolates, beautiful flowers, and a romantic night out! If you will be celebrating your day of love right here in Myrtle Beach then you are in for a treat! Coral Beach Resort has put together a list of our 5 favorite romantic things to do in Myrtle Beach that are perfect for your Valentine’s Day celebration!

Dining

The Melting Pot

You may have heard of this popular fondue restaurant before, but that is only because it never disappoints! Come enjoy an interactive dining experience with several fondue cooking styles and a variety of unique entrees, salads, and unforgettable desserts. The upscale atmosphere is perfect for an intimate Valentine’s dinner. Our favorite? The baked Alaska dessert fondue! For more information and to make reservations, call 843-692-9003.

Aspen Grille

“Fresh Carolina Cuisine” is their motto, and we might be a little bias but nothing beats food from the Carolina’s! Aspen Grille has been a popular Myrtle Beach restaurant for over 5 years. This sophisticated restaurant is definitely more upscale, but that doesn’t mean it lacks a good time or some southern hospitality. Their menu has a wide variety of choices from shrimp risotto to braised black short ribs so you and your special someone are sure to find something you both enjoy! Give them a call for more information or to make reservations at 843-449-9191

Collector’s Café

Collector’s Café was named “The Best Romantic Restaurant” by Myrtle Beach’s The Sun News…and we agree! This quaint little Café and Gallery make the perfect date night spot. Fine dining is combined with fine art and the result is an elegant yet eclectic dining experience! Enjoy filet mignon, mountain trout, or our favorite, their scallop cakes! Collector’s Café is also a great spot to grab a before-dinner drink or an after-dinner coffee and dessert. For more information or to make reservations, call 843-449-9370.

Activities

La Belle Amie Vineyard

This winery is a little bit of a drive from The Coral Beach Resort, but we promise the experience will be well worth it! Located just north of us in Little River, South Carolina, La Belle Amie Vineyard has been around for almost 20 years! Enjoy a romantic day of strolling through the Vineyards, seeing the old tobacco barn, and enjoying a wine tasting in their private tasting room. La Belle Amie Vineyard is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10 am – 5 pm and is the perfect Valentine’s Day activity before your romantic night out! Call 843-399-9463 for more information.

Atalaya Castle

Atalaya Castle is located in Huntington Beach State Park, just 15 miles south of Coral Beach Resort. This castle was built in 1931 and was the winter home of industrialist and philanthropist Archer M. Huntington and his wife, the sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. Atalaya is filled with charm, character, and history. Take a stroll hand in hand through the brick-lined hallways while you catch beautiful ocean views through the large iron rod windows. The interior of the castle features a courtyard filled with wildflowers and palmetto trees, creating the perfect romantic spot to spend some of your days. For more information, call 843-237-4440.
