We can’t promise you’ll see any celebrities wondering the beach while you’re here, but we can promise you can hang out with plenty of them at the Hollywood Wax Museum! This exciting attraction is fairly new to the Grand Strand but has quickly become a Myrtle Beach favorite. The hand-sculpted wax figures at this museum are so realistic that guests have reported: “ it was like they were going to speak to you!” In addition to rubbing elbows and taking pictures with your favorite stars, you will also learn about their pets, pet peeves, and accomplishments. Backstage Escape Games | Broadway at the Beach

The magic question: can you and your teammates beat the 60-minute clock to escape? Transport to an alternate reality at Backstage Escape Games located at Broadway at the Beach. Featuring intense sound and lighting effects, props, and decorations, choose from different storylines and search to find clues. Solve a series of puzzles to see if you can beat the clock! Ripley’s Marvelous Mirror Maze | Myrtle Beach

We know a rainy day can be a bummer, but at Ripley’s Mirror Maze you’ll forget all about the beach day you’re missing. Work together to find your way out of the marvelous mirror maze, or lose yourself in their enchanting labyrinth! With lots of LED lights and infinity mirrors, you will challenge your perception and sense of direction with lots of laughs and fun times along the way. Do you have a large group of little ones in tow? Load them up and head over to the EdVenture Children’s Museum for an afternoon full of fun and adventure! Located in Market Commons, this 3,000 square foot museum is full of excitement and over 20 interactive exhibits! Get hands-on with their interactive space ship and three-screen flight simulator where kids can test their piloting skill and feel the sensation of controlling a modern passenger plane. Ripley’s Aquarium | Broadway at the Beach

Get in touch with your nautical side at the Ripley’s Aquarium. Easily one of the most popular things to do with your kids while in Myrtle Beach, this venue is great for groups and guests of all ages. See familiar friends, like fish from Finding Nemo, at Rainbow Rock and get up close and personal with friendly rays at the Ray Bay. WonderWorks | Broadway at the Beach

Walk into an upside-down universe – quite literally – at WonderWorks. This interactive museum brings science to life and even manages to sneak a little education in too. WonderWorks features over 100 exhibits designed for all ages so no one is left out of the fun. Experience the winds of a category one hurricane in the hurricane shack or become a human lightning rod at the Tesla coil. You can even lay on a bed of nails! If you get hungry, grab a bite to eat at the snack bar where the adults in the group can try out the blender bike to blend their own frozen concoctions. North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Downtown North Myrtle Beach | March 17th

Kick off your Irish celebration bright and early by attending the 29th Annual North Myrtle Beach Parade & Festival. This family-friendly event begins promptly at 9 am with the parade down Main Street. The official festival will begin immediately following the parade at 11 am and will feature three live entertainment stages, children’s activities including games, rides, and inflatables, and 150 local food and retail vendors.


Myrtle Beach Highland Games & Heritage Festival | North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex | March 23rd – 25th

Celebrate time with family and friends and the great Scottish heritage at the annual Myrtle Beach Highland Games & Heritage Festival. This festive three-day event showcases several Scottish games and athletic competitions, an authentic clan village and Celtic marketplace, Scottish whiskey tastings, live music and entertainment, tasty food, and plenty of activities for kids. This event is free to attend and takes place from 6 pm10 pm on Friday, 9 am5 pm on Saturday, and 9 am – 4 pm on Sunday.

Horry County Fair | Myrtle Beach Speedway | April 20th – 29th

Welcome spring with the 3rd Annual Horry County Fair at the Myrtle Beach Speedway! For 10 exciting days, guests will enjoy thrilling carnival rides, kiddie rides, delicious fair food, fun carnival games, a petting zoo, pig races, and a whole lot more. Each night celebrates a different theme for guests, including Family Fun Night, Monday Funday, and Hospitality Day. Ticket prices for adults and children vary by day. Mayfest on Main Festival | Downtown North Myrtle Beach | May 12th

Bring your appetite and excitement to the 13th Annual Mayfest on Main Festival in downtown North Myrtle Beach! From 10 am – 6 pm, 15,000 people will celebrate the month of May along Main Street in North Myrtle Beach with food vendors serving delicious treats, crafters displaying their work, two live performance stages featuring live entertainment and some of the best musical talents including Firehouse, Taylor Dayne, and The Entertainers, and a kid’s area for the little ones to enjoy!


Little River Blue Crab Festival | Little River | May 19th – 20th

The “Word Famous” Little River Blue Crab Festival draws crowds of over 50,000 each year, making it one of the biggest festivals in the southeast. Guests flock from far and wide each year to take part in food, fellowship, friends, and plenty of crabs, of course! This weekend-long event will offer live entertainment from popular local performers, arts and crafts, children’s activities, games, and tons of local food and business vendors.
