Planning a Fourth of July vacation to Myrtle Beach this summer? Coral Beach Resort & Suites would love to have you! Up and down the Grand Strand from dusk till dawn, there will be patriotic fun all weekend long. We’ve made it easy and listed the top 4th of July activities in Myrtle Beach by day and night.

Daytime Events and Activities for 4th of July 2021:

Myrtle Beach State ParkSearching for sea turtles on Myrtle Beach's coastline is a great activity for the fourth of July.

Find your sense of adventure and get in touch with nature at the Myrtle Beach State Park. Take the kids for summer morning pier fishing, bike one of the many trails or hang out with a ranger & patrol the beach for sea turtles. Get into the 4th of July spirit, and grill hot dogs or hamburgers for lunch on one of the many grills provided by the park. Family Kingdom

Take a break from the beach and enjoy a fun-filled day of amusement at Family Kingdom. This fun park features over 35 rides for kids, teens and adults. Twist and turn on the Swamp Fox wooden roller coaster, spin in circles on the Yo-Yo high-flying swings or bump and splash on the Water Boats. Pawleys Island 4th of July Parade

Head to the south end of the Grand Strand and be part of the 54th Annual 4th of July Parade in Pawleys Island! Watch from the sidelines or share your patriotic pride by creating your own float! Fill out a parade application in advance at the Pawleys Island Town Hall for $20, or show up with your decked-out makeshift float and pay $25 day-of. The Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 4th and winds through the south end of Pawleys Island. For the most up-to-date information, check out the event’s Facebook page.

Murrells Inlet Boat Parade

After you’ve enjoyed the Pawleys Island 4th of July Parade, stop by Murrells Inlet on your way back to the Coral Beach Resort for the 38th Annual Boat Parade on the Inlet. Starting at 3:00 p.m., boats from around the region will fill the Inlet with patriotic pride. The parade runs from the Garden City Point, through the Inlet, to Morse Park Landing. The best viewing areas are the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, Belin United Methodist Church and Morse Park Landing. Find out more information on the event’s Facebook page.

Myrtle Beach Independence Day 5K

Feeling patriotic? Register for the 12th Annual Independence Day 5k race in the Market Common taking place on Saturday, July 3rd. Throw on your star-spangled running shorts and join hundreds of runners as we celebrate our Nation’s birthday at this competitive race. Registration will be open until Friday, July 2nd at 1:00 p.m. Head to the NS Promos website to find full race details and to register for this year’s Independence Day 5K.

Red, White & Blue 5k

Looking for another running adventure for the 4th of July weekend? Barefoot Landing will host the Red, White & Blue 5K on July 4th. Runners, walkers and strollers will make their way around the Barefoot Landing complex on a USATF certified course. Participants are encouraged to wear festive attire for the race! Soccer Youth’s All American Series

The North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex is excited to host this year’s All American Series soccer tournament. Kids ages 6-16 are eligible to participate in this four-day competition with multiple skill challenges, showcase games and awards. Register for this tournament online and see full event details. The 2021 All American Series will be in North Myrtle Beach from July 1st to the 4th.

Salute From The Shore

Soak in the sun, splash around in the waves and salute our armed forces right from the shores of Myrtle Beach! Starting at 1:00 p.m., look towards the sky and give your biggest salute as a military flyover takes place. Be sure to record and share your salute on social media using #SalutefromtheShore. Evening Events and Activities for 4th of July 2021:

Fireworks are a great way to celebrate the 4th of July in Myrtle Beach.Fireworks On The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

While you’re vacationing in Myrtle Beach you will definitely want to plan an evening on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Enjoy a variety of eateries, shops, entertainment and more like Moe’s Moon, Landshark Bar & Grill, I Love Sugar, Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Fun Plaza Family Fun Center. Hang out on the 4th of July for Hot Summer Nights live music and watch the sky light up as fireworks are set off at 10:00 p.m. from the 2nd Avenue Pier!

Fireworks At Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach is a great place to treat the family to dinner, live music and entertainment on July 4th in Myrtle Beach. Broadway features tons of delicious restaurants like Landry’s, Rooster’s Restaurant & Bar, Sweet Carolina’s and more! There will also be strolling entertainers, character appearances and LED dancers throughout the evening. Don’t miss their firework extravaganza over Lake Broadway beginning at 10:00 p.m.!

Murrells Inlet MarshWalk Fireworks

Good eats, live music and more can be found at the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk. There are so many great restaurants to enjoy like the Wicked Tuna, Dead Dog Saloon, The Claw House and Bubba’s Love Shak. Hop from each outdoor deck and listen to all the different live bands playing on the marsh. Stay for a patriotic display of fireworks over the marsh, one of the best views in town. Fireworks start at 10:00 p.m.!

Barefoot Landing Fireworks

Live music, delicious food and fireworks – what could be better? SummerFest returns to Barefoot Landing for 2021 with live music on the Dockside Village Amphitheater Stage and patriotic fireworks in celebration of Independence Day. Visitors can also find live music at Lulu’s and Crooked Hammock Brewery on the Fourth of July.

Fireworks at the Cherry Grove Pier

The Cherry Grove Pier returns with their patriotic extravaganza for 2021. The annual 4th of July Fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. There will also be family-fun activities at the pier throughout the day beginning at 10:00 a.m. See the Cherry Grove Pier Facebook page for more details.
