From the opening games of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and fireworks to festivals and movie showings, there is something for everyone vacationing along the Grand Strand. Myrtle Beach June Events

Pelicans Baseball Games | May – September

1251 21st Ave. North, 3.5 miles from Coral Beach

Minor League Baseball team the Myrtle Beach Pelicans will run their season May through September of 2023. Baseball fanatics and casual watchers alike are sure to find fun at these games, where locals flock to cheer on their hometown team. Tickets are available through the team’s official website! 

Carolina Country Music Fest | June 8 – 11

812 N. Ocean Blvd., 1.5 miles from Coral Beach

Join some of country music’s biggest names – Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Brooks & Dunn, and Hardy headlining – for one of the largest country music festivals in America. The first event in 2015 brought over 20,000 country music lovers to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, and has continued to grow. Last year’s CCMF sold out at 35,000 tickets! 

The 2023 Carolina Country Music Fest will feature five stages to host more artists and accommodate larger crowds. 

Movies at McLean | June 9 

McLean Park, 21 miles from Coral Beach Resort

McLean Park hosts Movies at McLean monthly during the summer, inviting locals and vacationers to their lush lawn to settle in for a classic movie. Summer 2023’s series theme is Through the Decades, and June 9th’s feature is An American Tail as a nod to the 1980s. 

Broadway at the Beach Fireworks Show | Tuesdays and Fridays thru New Years Eve

We love a good fireworks show here in South Carolina, and Myrtle Beach does it best. Plan a full day of shopping, dining, and fun attractions at Broadway at the Beach before ending your day with the fireworks show. Fireworks start at 10pm. 

Sounds of Summer Concert Series | 3rd Fridays (June – September)

15 Citizens Circle at NMB Park & Sports Complex, 20 miles from Coral Beach

The Sounds of Summer is a free concert series at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex Amphitheater. June 16th’s show will feature Don’t Stop Believing, a Journey tribute band. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase inside – outside food, drinks, and coolers are not allowed.

Myrtle Beach July Events 

The City of Myrtle Beach is home to many 4th of July celebrations, from parades and boat shows to fireworks extravaganzas, and Coral Beach Resort is right in the middle of the action. 

The Independence Day fireworks at Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach are stunning every year, and the sky lights up with dazzling pyro colors launched from backyard barbecues and professional stages in multiple locations across the coast.

McLean Park hosts Movies at McLean monthly during the summer, inviting locals and vacationers to their lush lawn to settle in for a classic movie. Summer 2023’s series theme is Through the Decades, and July’s movie pays homage to the 1990s with Beethoven

Music on Main | Thursdays (June – September) 

11 South Ocean Blvd., 7.5 miles from Coral Beach Resort

Thursdays from June through September host the Music on Main Concert Series. From tributes to originals, Music on Main boasts some of the best music in the area – for free! 2023’s series will feature Chairman of the Board, Band of Oz, Black Glass, Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot, and more. 

Myrtle Beach August Events

The Carolina Opry, 8.5 miles from Coral Beach Resort

Sail On plays the Beach Boys classics you love and a selection of treasures from their extended catalog, effectively recreating an Endless Summer sound live and in detail without any backing tracks. Nashville-based Sail On will perform at the Carolina Opry on August 6. 

Movies at McLean | August 11 

McLean Park, 21 miles from Coral Beach Resort

McLean Park hosts Movies at McLean monthly during the summer, inviting locals and vacationers to their lush lawn to settle in for a classic movie. August’s installment in the Through the Decades series is 2002 classic Lilo & Stitch

1420 Carver Street, 2.7 miles from Coral Beach Resort

This free and family-friendly event takes place every third Saturday in the summer. Guests can expect vendors of all kinds, crafts, live music, food trucks, and other community commodities. All ages are welcome! 

Music on Main | Thursdays (June – September) 

11 South Ocean Blvd., 7.5 miles from Coral Beach Resort

August will pay tribute to Van Morrison and James Taylor with the Paul Grimshaw Band. Music on Main shows are completely free and begin at 7pm. The Sounds of Summer Concert Series will end in September with a tribute to country music icon Dolly Parton, with Karen as Dolly.

Yoga in the Yard | Sunday Mornings 

4924 Hwy 17 S., 13 miles from Coral Beach Resort

Crooked Hammock Brewery in North Myrtle Beach partners with Sea Yoga to bring you Yoga in the Yard weekly. Cleanse your body with movement and your spirit with a cold beer – the first one is on them. Reserve your spot in advance – availability varies.
